GM recalls millions of SUVs with airbag and seatbelt issues

Posted under Automotive Defects

After receiving complaints about injuries related to malfunctioning airbags and seat belts, on March 17 General Motors Co. released a recall for some of their SUVs.

Reports mentioned that side and front airbags failed to deploy appropriately, causing additional injury to people involved in accidents. Later models of the GMC Acadia, Chevrolet Traverse, Buick Enclave and Saturn Outlook are affected by the recall. Consumers noticed that the malfunction often occurred when the airbag dashboard warning light flashed.

Sustaining injuries caused by a defective vehicle can result to financial loss due to expensive treatment and maintenance while recovering. If you have survived an accident caused by a vehicle defect you could be eligible for damage compensation.
