ConAgra recalls dumplings with unlisted ingredients

Posted under Product Liability

Food distributor ConAgra is recalling frozen pork and leek dumplings that have ingredients that are not mentioned on its packaging, a report from the Huffington Post stated on Thursday, September 19.

The recall is being issued as the PF Chang’s Home Menu Pork and Leek Dumplings contain unlisted crustacean shellfish and pollock ingredients that may cause health problems for people who are allergic to these foods. The issue was discovered after a complaint was made by a consumer.

Though no illnesses were reported before the recall, consumers who are allergic to crustacean and pollock have been warned not to eat the dumplings that can be bought in 36 states in the U.S. The distributor is now coordinating with other retailers to remove the dumplings from their shelves immediately.
