The recall stated that at least 46 fires were caused by a variety of brands of electric dehumidifiers made by Gree Electric Appliances. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, there were no injuries linked to the fires caused by the dehumidifiers, but over $2 million properties were damaged.
