Automaker Nissan has issued two recalls that affect more than 13,000 compact hatchbacks, a report from The Los Angeles Times stated on Tuesday, August 6.
In the first recall, around 7,077 2014 model Versa Notes were affected, as they had loose or missing bolts on the lower body sill. The second recall affects 7,782 2014 model vehicles that have a defective rear-seat latch bolt. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said the loose or defective bolts in the vehicles may cause injuries during a car crash.
Nissan stated that car owners are advised to contact their car dealer to fix the defects, free of charge.
