Two motorists were injured in a car crash that happened in Waupaca County, according to a March 12 report.
The accident happened on highway 54 when a 51-year-old woman lost control of her SUV after pulling out from a private driveway in Mukwa. As the woman attempted to cross the highway, an eastbound vehicle swerved to avoid the SUV but still hit the SUV’s driver side. The woman was thrown from the SUV and was immediately airlifted to a nearby hospital. The other driver, a 66-year-old man was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Authorities say icy roads and severe weather conditions were considered factors of the crash.
The conditions of the injured drivers were still unknown immediately following the accident.
