Two people were injured in a head-on crash accident that happened in King on eastbound Highway D on Tuesday, February 12.
According to reports, the accident happened east of Cloverbelt Road. The Lincoln County Sheriff Department said a westbound car driven by a 27-year-old Julie Bergerson was slammed into by an eastbound pickup driven by a 17-year-old Aaron Leonard. Bergerson sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Aspirus Wausau Hospital for treatment after originally being taken to Ministry Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk, the report added.
According to a hospital spokesperson in Aspirus Wausau, Bergerson was still in critical condition the day after the accident and investigations were still being conducted.
