Numerous large storms hit different parts of Wisconsin overnight, and this morning repercussions of the storms are still noticeably visible. These storms caused flooding, power lines to break, and schools to delay opening in both eastern and western Wisconsin counties.
In Eastern Wisconsin, the National Weather Service had issued a flash flood warning that ran until 9 a.m. this morning. Schools in several eastern counties had to delay opening their doors in order to recalculate routes school buses could utilize in order to safely avoid the damage and flooding.
Hail and flooding were frequently reported in several counties, and U.S. 41 was shut down between Winnebago County and Fond du Lac County due to the high volume of water on both the southbound and northbound sides.
