Starbucks ordered to pay $7.5 million to slip and fall victim

Posted under Wausau premises liability attorneys

The jury in a slip and fall lawsuit highly favored the victim when reaching a verdict of $7.5 million.

The lawsuit was filed against Starbucks in 2008 after a customer fell in one of their San Diego stores. Starbucks was found to have been negligent of their property at this particular store. The manager had mopped the floor of the store  just minutes before the accident took place.

The man received serious head injuries from the accident and as a result has not been able to provide for his family. The verdict is intended to cover the costs of medical care as well as income loss suffered.
