Rapids Man Remains in Serious Condition

by Administrator 3. March 2010 03:48

A 34-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man was injured in a two-vehicle crash Saturday evening and remains in serious condition. A helicopter transported him to Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, authorities said. The police crash report said he was driving north in Grand Rapids when he failed to yield the right of way to a sport utility vehicle traveling east. The sport utility vehicle hit the car in the driver's side door.

The driver of the sport utility vehicle walked away unharmed, authorities said, but the sport utility vehicle's 40-year-old passenger was taken to Riverview Hospital with minor injuries, treated and released.
