Bicyclist Critically Injured in Wausau Hit-And-Run

A bicyclist was critically injured in a Wausau car accident Monday near Antigo.

 

According to officials with the Langlade County Sheriff's Department, 26 year-old Timothy Wissbroecker, of Antigo, was injured shortly after 11:00 a.m. while riding his bicycle on Highway 64 about five miles west of Antigo. Wissbroecker was transported to Aspirus Wausau hospital following the crash.

 

The vehicle that struck Wissbroecker did not remain at the scene. The Langlade County Sheriff's Department and the Wisconsin State Patrol continue to look for help locating the hit-and-run vehicle. It is described as a light-silver honda sport utility vehicle model year 2007 to 2009 with passenger-side damage and Wisconsin license plates.
