A Mosinee man was injured in a Wausau motorcycle accident in the town of Norrie Saturday.

According to Marathon County Sheriff's Deputies, police responded to a 911 call of a motorcycle accident at the intersection of Highway D and Highway OO, east of Hatley, shortly after 6:30 p.m. Saturday. Marathon County Sheriff's Lt. Fred Goch said deputies discovered a man in a ditch, with a motorcycle nearby.

The 48 year-old man was transported by ambulance to Ministry Saint Clare's Hospital in Weston for head injuries, police said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Authorities could not say whether alcohol was a factor in the wreck.

The identity of the injured man was not immediately available.

Two drivers were injured in two separate car accidents near Kronenwetter Tuesday morning.

According to officials with the Wausau County Sheriff's Department, both accidents occurred in the southbound lanes of Interstate 39 shortly after 10:15 a.m.

Police say the first accident was caused by a large amount of debris in the roadway near the Maple Road exit. A mini-van lost control on the rain-slicked road while the driver attempted to swerve. The second crash involved a car that left the roadway and careened into a ditch.

Both drivers were transported, by ambulance, to Wausau Aspirus hospital. The nature of their injuries was not immediately known. The names of the drivers have not been released.

Two people were injured in a Wausau bus accident Tuesday.

According to officials with the Wausau Police Department, the accident occurred shortly after 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Prospect Avenue and Thomas street. "We've got conflicting stories," said Lt. Ben Bliven. "The bus did hit a car... we have conflicting stories from witnesses and we're trying to piece together what exactly happened."

One witness says the city bus failed to negotiate a turn onto Prospect, and struck a car at the stop sign.

Two people from the car were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries, police say.

There were passengers on the bus at the time of the accident, however no one on board was injured.

Two people were injured when a Wausau city bus and a car collided Tuesday afternoon.

According to officials with the Wausau Police Departmetn, the accident occurred at the intersection of Prospect Avenue and East Thomas Street shortly before 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Lieutenant Wally Olson of the Wausau Fire Department said a car was traveling east on East Thomas Street and the bus was traveling north on Prospect Avenue when the driver attempted to turn left onto Thomas, spurring the crash.

Two passengers in the car sustained minor injuries in the accident and were transported to Aspirus Wausau Hospital, according to Lieutenant Bill Kolb of the Wausau Police Department. The bus had a camera that recorded the accident, and police will review the tape, Kolb said.

Police have not released the names of the people involved because the investigation is still under way.

A man involved in a two-vehicle Wausau car accident Tuesday remained in fair condition Wednesday night at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, according to a hospital spokeswoman.

According to officials with the Wausau Police Department, 42 year-old Patrick M. Cliver, of Marathon, was traveling north on Highway J when he collided with a sport utility vehicle driven by 36 year-old James M. Stevens, of Ringle, on Highway N. Officials with the Marathon County Sheriff's Department said Cliver was issued two citations for the crash.

Both Stevens and Cliver were injured in the crash. Each driver was transported, by ambulance, to Aspirus Wausau Hospital following the wreck.

A Sun Prairie man was killed in a Wausau car accident Tuesday morning.

According to a news release from the Three Lakes Police Department, 22 year-old Peter J. Buell was pronounced dead at the scene the crash. The accident occurred on Highway 45, near Halverson Road, shortly after 2:00 a.m. Police say Buell was traveling southbound on Highway 45 when he failed to negotiate a corner.

The crash remains under investigation by the Three Lakes Police Department and the Oneida County Medical Examiner's Office. The results of a toxicology test are pending. Police do not believe alcohol played a factor in the crash.

According to officials with the Wausau Police Department, a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Sixth Avenue and Thomas Street caused damaged to Kens Vacuum Center, 515 West Thomas Street. Wausau Fire Department Battalion Chief Paul Czarapata said the cars struck Ken's Vacuum Center, tearing off some siding and forcing the building off its foundation.

One person was injured in the crash and was transported to Aspirus Wausau Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Czrapata said.
