Wisconsin Woman Dies in I-435 Accident

by Administrator 29. January 2010 05:56

A Wisconsin woman has died following a freak accident on I-435, in east Kansas City.

The woman was driving a pickup truck with a camper trailer attached when she lost control of her vehicle.  The camper trailer ended up landing on the roof of the truck, killing the woman and injuring a male passenger.  The passenger was taken to a local hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening accidents.  The couple had apparently been on their way to Arizona when the accident occurred.

Snowmobile Reduction To Begin Patrols

by Administrator 18. January 2010 05:34

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources will be resuming patrols of its snowmobile accident reduction unit.   The snowmobile patrols involve six wardens riding around and seeking out hazardous riders.

Each time that the unit has been utilized,   snowmobile accidents had decreased for the year.   The patrols were stopped as money concerns were an issue initially, however the program will be picking back up. Many hope that the success of the program will continue, bringing about less snowmobile accidents, injuries, and deaths.

Weather Leading to Accidents

by Administrator 11. January 2010 07:33

The poor driving conditions caused by the weather in Wisconsin is leading to an increase in the number of accidents.

Officials are urging those to follow all weather announcements as closely as possible.  In case of poor and hazardous weather,  individuals are encouraged to stay inside unless absolutely necessary to travel.  Drivers should drive slowly and cautiously.  Speeding could lead to accidents,  so drivers are encouraged to drive slower than the speed limit in icy conditions.
