Two injured in Car Accident

Two individuals were injured following an accident in which an SUV and a pickup truck struck one another. 

According to reports,  the driver of the pickup truck was exiting a parking lot onto a heavily trafficked road.  While attempting this maneuver,  the SUV was driving towards the truck.  The SUV was unable to stop when the truck pulled out and struck its side.  The driver of the truck and a passenger in the SUV were injured.  Both were taken to a hospital for treatment and are expected to recover.

Two Injured in Accident

Two teenagers were injured in a one vehicle accident on Sunday in Wisconsin.  According to reports,  the driver of the vehicle a 17 year-old girl lost control of the vehicle as her and passenger were riding on a road.  The young-driver over-corrected the vehicle,  crossed over and off the road, and into a ditch striking several trees.

One of the individuals in the vehicle had life threatening injuries, and the other had serious but non-life threatening injuries. 

The accident is currently under investigation by authorities.

Man Arrested for OWI After Accident

A 26 year-old man was arrested following an accident in which the man crashed his vehicle Friday night. 

Emergency officials were called to the scene of an accident in which the driver of a vehicle had cuts and broken bones on Interstate 39.   After treating the man for his injuries at the scene, it was determined that the men was intoxicated while he was operating the vehicle.  The man was taken to a hospital for further treatment of his injuries, but was then charged with Operating While Intoxicated shortly later.

Texting While Driving Gets Federal Attention

An Obama administration official has recently came out supporting increased enforcement efforts by state officials to make laws to restrict drivers from texting and driving.  The administration official is encouraging states to impose their own restrictions and bans on this issue, citing the threat to public safety.

The Obama administration has recently been able to place federal restrictions on texting while driving,  placing a ban on certain drivers who travel across state lines from taking part in the practice. The federal government hopes by setting the example that other states will follow with their own enforcement efforts.
