Personal Water Crafts and Boats

by Administrator 29. June 2009 05:47

Personal Water Crafts such as Sea-Doos face challenges when on a lake.  These water crafts are normally designed for one individual, and sometimes will seat up to 4.

These craft must be very careful when on the waterway.  There size can make it difficult for other boats to see.  Also,  the size and speed of the craft can make it difficult to judge the velocity of the craft.

During this 4th of July holiday, it will be important for all boaters and individuals on the water to be aware of these vehicles on the water, and to take the proper safety precautions.

Sleepy Drivers Should Pull Over

by Administrator 19. June 2009 06:50

When operating a vehicle, it is important that you be fully awake in order to navigate the roads safely.

If you are driving and you feel that you are getting tired, there are several recommended events that you should do. To begin,  if it is possible, pull over for the night and sleep it off at a hotel.  If this option is not available, pulling over into a gas station and getting a drink that contains a lot of caffeine is recommended.  This could help you stay awake.  Another suggestion would be to call a friend or family member if they are up. Although talking on the phone and driving is not generally considered safe,  it could help keep your attention long enough until you reach the final destination of the drive.

If you are too tired however and feel that you are about to pass out from exhaustion and lack of sleep,  then pull over immediately and stop driving.

Bill May Allow Ten Year Olds to Hunt

by Administrator 8. June 2009 05:49

A recent bill is currently being introduced to the legislator that may allow 10 year-olds to hunt with the close supervision of an adult.  The bill would lower the current age of hunting from 12 to 10 years-of-age.

Advocates of the bill believe that it is an important step in preserving the hunting heritage of the state.  That it also encourages proper gun safety.

Critics state the opposite,  believing that it will increase the number of hunting accidents in the state, and that it may allow unqualified hunters to fire a gun.

Police Vehicles Can Cause Accidents

by Administrator 3. June 2009 06:18

Police vehicles across America and Wisconsin have been responsible for several accidents.  Sometimes,  emergency officials will not follow proper procedure when either being on patrol or responding to an accident.

One of the biggest factors in these types of accidents is not properly using emergency sirens.  Sometimes, in the heat of the moment, an officer may forget to do this.   This puts the officer and others on the road at risk to an accident that is typically at very high speeds.  These types of accidents are normally the officers fault because of failure to alert other drivers to the emergency vehicle.
