An Australian prosecutor is recommending that a man tied to the death of a 42 year old be charged with manslaughter. The woman was found dead and naked from an overdose of a "date rape" drug in the man's cabin during a South Pacific cruise. The prosecutor is also recommending that two other men who were sharing the cabin be charged with perverting the course of justice. The mother of three died aboard the P&O cruiseliner Pacific Sky in 2002. Her death was later tied to her ingestion of a cocktail of alcohol and the illicit date rape drug "fantasy." During an investigation, eight men of interest were identified. Four them them shared the cabin where the woman died. Ultimately, charges will be filed by the police. The police typically go along with what the prosecutors recommend.

The family of a boy injured at Atlanta's major airport has filed a lawsuit against Crocs for the injuries caused by the escalator when the boy's foot became trapped in the escalator. The suit is seeking $2 million in damages for the injuries and permanent damage done to the boy's foot. It also alleges that Crocs has been aware of the dangers to children since 2005. In the past, Crocs has blamed the injuries on faulty escalators and a lack of safety. No comment from the company on this lawsuit yet. The injury was suffered in July when the boy was using an escalator in the airport. He is one of numerous children that have been injured by escalators while wearing Crocs. A Kentucky jury will hear a case involving allegations of hazing at Eastern Kentucky University starting October 24. The case revolves around one man's story that he was beaten daily for nearly two months while attempting to pledge a fraternity at Eastern Kentucky. He was admitted to a hospital at the end of the ordeal and hospitalized for kidney failure. In addition, the hazing practices caused severe bruising. He says he has not yet fully recovered from his injuries. The defense lawyers for the three men accused of the acts repeatedly questioned the victim's willingness to submit to the level of punishment that has been alleged. Until the investigation is over, the fraternity's chapters at Eastern Kentucky University and the University of Kentucky have been suspended.
